Have you ever wanted to learn how to do something new? At Stride, we believe that everyone should have the chance to explore the world of creative expression, so we’re offering FREE introductory programs to give you a taste of what piques your interest.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, gamer, aspiring podcaster, live streamer, novelist, or are interested in being a photographer—or even if you’re just curious about what these fields entail—we’ve got something for you. Below is a list of our programs that are offering a free intro session; click the title of the program to register for your session.

Entrepreneurship: Do you want to start your own business, but not sure where to start? Check out this free intro to Entrepreneurship to see how easy it can be to start an entrepreneurship journey!

Roblox Coding: Thinking about making your own video game? Come check out what you can do in Roblox Development & Coding! You’ll get a preview of the awesome stuff you can build in Roblox Studio; even learn some scripting using Roblox’s coding language, Lua. You must have a Windows or Mac computer in order to take this course. Unfortunately, Roblox Studio does not support Chromebooks, phones, tablets, or Linux computers.

Basic Python Coding: Are you interested in coding but not sure where to start? Python coding is a great place to start! In this free intro program, you’ll get an introduction to all things Python and you might just discover you have a new passion.

Python for AI: In this free Python coding class, students will take their first dive into coding with Python. We will transition from block coding, which they learned in Scratch, to text-based coding. Students will learn how to animate and draw with Python and will build their own story project to create a cool animation.

Augmented Reality Development: Do you want to learn augmented reality, often referred to as AR? Check out this free intro to see how augmented reality is used to create games you know and love, like Pokémon GO and Angry Birds AR: Isle of Pigs. Sign up and learn more!

Writing & Publishing Your Own Novel: With the Write a Novel enrichment program offered by Stride, which is open to teens and adults, you’ll experience in-depth creative writing workshops, weekly feedback, and the guidance and support you need to write a quality novel and help you achieve your literary dreams.

You may have thought about writing a novel before, or maybe even started one. But maybe you didn’t know where to start, or how to make it come together. Or maybe you just got overwhelmed with other things going on in your life. Whatever the reason is that has kept you from writing this story—we want to help!

Becoming a Podcaster:  Do you want to learn more about podcasting, but not sure where to start? This free intro will help give you an idea of how you can start your own podcast.

Introduction to Fitness: Do you want to learn more about fitness, but not sure where to start? This free intro will help give you an idea of how you can take control of your fitness.

Beginner Web Design with Wix: This introductory course explores the basics of the Wix Editor and website design principles. With hundreds of stunning, customizable elements, students can experiment and explore many options to get a glimpse of how they could create their own website. Students get a taste of web design and all the options available to them.

Introduction to Interior Design: Do you want to learn the basics of interior and environmental design and how to create visually appealing settings? Check out this free intro to Interior Design to learn more!

From Behind the Lens and Beyond: Are you interested in photography but not sure where to start? This free intro session gives you a glimpse at the camera basics and terminology to help you get started, and shares how you can dive deeper with our enrichment program, From Behind the Lens and Beyond.

Intro to Digital Arts: Do you want to learn how to create eye-catching designs, but not sure where to start? Check out this free intro to Digital Arts to see how Canva can help you design your own visuals that are sure to capture anyone’s attention!
