# Math Activity: Interactive Graphs

Graphs are great tools for visualizing data. In this activity you can create and print three types of categorical graphs using your own data: circle graphs, bar graphs and double bar graphs.

Circle graphs are great for finding the percentages of a whole. (The ratio of animals on a farm.)

Bar graphs are are great for counting unique units. (The different colors in a bag of candy.)

Double bar graphs are used for comparing two different parts of a set. (Democrats Vs. Republicans in Congress.)

Students enhance computational and problem-solving skills while learning topics in algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics. They solve expressions and equations in the context of perimeter, area, and volume problems while further developing computational skills with fractions and decimals. The study of plane and solid figures includes construction and transformations of figures.
