Activities for Celebrating Presidents’ Day

Today is Presidents’ Day, a day to honor all 44 U.S. Presidents. But did you know that it was originally created as a day to celebrate George Washington’s birthday (Feb. 22, 1732)? It was later combined with Abraham Lincoln’s birthday (Feb. 12, 1809). Later, when Congress decided to create a consistent system of federal Monday holidays in 1968, it evolved into what is now known as Presidents ‘ Day around the country.

In honor of Presidents’ Day, here are a few fun activities for learning about the presidency.
